Man, i just got out of jail after five years
Five years?! that sucks
Yeah it does, i've been out three weeks now and i can't get a job, they give me this goddam prison ID. Can't get no job, everyone's always lookin at you and they say, he's a panhandler, he's a beggar, which is like, cause i'm neither, yanow?
Are you looking for something to eat?
Well, i like to drink, right, haha! Just a couple days ago had my first real good weed, whew
Haha, yeah
So can you help me out?
Well i've only got 6 bucks and
You don't wanna support any bad habits?
Oh don't get me wrong, i drink every now and again, but i just
How about a pack of cigs then?
I was just going to get something to eat, you can come if you'd like, i'll get you something
I think ill pass, but thanks for the offer man, thats really nice of you
Well nice to meet you jerome

"Hey Jerome!
What? oh, hey daniel, how's it goin?
Fine fine, hey, so, i was thinking, how much money do you have on you?
Whatchu mean?
Well, i was thinking, if you had a couple bucks, we could put our money together and get balls-ass drunk."

I had these two squares of bubble wrap about a square foot each. So i taped them up in the elevators of the tower I live in, and wrote "enjoy" across them. You are'nt really allowed to tape things up in the elevators. so we'll see how long they last.

Everyone likes bubble wrap though, who would take that down?

Day 26

Today I went into labor with two projects that I have been pregnant with for some time. So here is the question of whether the waking life project should be product or process oriented.

Settling on the latter:
Made this poster today

Ms. Stichter replied to yesterday's message! It was really exciting to receive, but I regretted asking such a platitudinous question, her response was nice nonetheless, "Make a piece about it! seriously."

I'll continue to try and get in touch with admirable strangers. While this interaction has been very minimal thus far, it is exciting!

Day 25

In an e-mail to Beth Cavener Stichter
"Dear Ms. Stichter, What can be done when anxiety threatens creativity?"

In an e-mail to Max Richter:
"Dear Max, How can i transcend reactive rigmarole, and instead be pro-actively creative?"

Day 23

I have finished one that I've been working on for a while. I need to watch it one more time through. And it has not taken so long because it is spectacular or of the sort, but that my time has been precious and moving as of late. Hopefully later in the day and not on the morrow it will be up. Thank you patience.
An evening trip to the City

to see the bright city
bright people
Seedy drugged up losers

something foolish, something free

not much fun, not much to see.
give me a high five, climb a tree

hardly conclusive, you need
to be bored enought to take
action. Boredom throws
us from the nest. Boredom
tears away the sweater

throw down. People, Things &

I'm compelled to sleep, to lie
Strip off my clothes, cry

Day 21

New blog today, it's a place for friends to share dreams that they remember with each other and the world. I've been having a lot of dreams lately, and it's a puzzling how soon they are forgotten

There's the two of us, Marika Emerson, Sam Bourdon, Jessi Whitten, Morgan Hofmann and Edie Hulings contributing right now, you can too if you'd like. Writing down whatever you remember of the previous nights dreams.

Day 19

One it is good to see the dearest edith not in tears yearning for absent rain.
Two here is something maybe to tide me (us) over until more times blows.

My brother saw this poem by John Keats written on a wall in London:

Sharing Eve's Apple

He really liked it, so he e-mailed it to me and I really liked it too! It seemed fitting to bring the poems journey full-circle by writing it on a wall in Boulder.

It was a perilous venture, which found the poem, stanza by stanza, scrawled across boulders in a particularly lovely area by a river.

Some Miscellaneous Pictures:

Waiting for a bus in the grip of a deathly cold!
